There are 4 courses in this stack of which 2 are common mandatory courses and the learner can choose any 2 courses from the list of courses available.
Stack2: The Digital Technologies L2 stack allows learners to choose any four courses from a broader set of diverse courses, offering greater flexibility and personalization in their exploration and education. This approach enables learners to tailor their learning experiences to align with their individual interests and career goals, promoting higher engagement and motivation. It also encourages interdisciplinary learning, broadening their skill sets and making them more adaptable in the job market.
This flexibility allows for deeper exploration, fostering hands-on experience, diverse skill development, and the self-discovery of interests.
Stack3: By the end of Stack2, learners will have a clear understanding of their strengths and career aspirations. GNIIT empowers them to leverage this self-discovery through role-based specialization tracks. Learners can choose from the listed roles under tracks like Software Engineering, Data Science, Digital Marketing, Banking & Finance, Cybersecurity, and Cloud Computing.
The learner can now choose the appropriate track based on his/her interest area, subject to meeting the eligibility requirements. Stack3 and Stack4 cover the core curriculum skills in the chosen role specialization track. Stack3 consists of 5 courses (Core specialization level 1).

7.9 Advanced Standing Admission (AS)
If the Learner after completing one of the GNIIT Series Programs and being certified, further wants to enrol and continue to the next higher level, the learner can take an Advanced Standing admission.
Basically, the Learner is seeking exemption from the previous levels as the Learner has already completed those levels and has been certified by NIIT. E.g., If the learner has initially registered for ASP program and has been certified, can now take admission to ADP or any other higher-level program as Advanced Standing admission.
Advanced standing admission is also when a learner is seeking exemption (as permitted by the policy) from some of the Stacks/courses in which he/she has prior knowledge. Candidates seeking exemption, have to appear in the assessment to ascertain prior knowledge. Only on clearing the assessment the candidate can take Advanced standing admission.
The below table shows the possibility of the exemptions applicable for learners who are seeking based on their prior knowledge and not done the GNIIT series. Stacks marked in Amber are partly or fully exempted and the stacks marked in Green are not exempted and need to study at NIIT.

7.10 Selection of Courses in Stack1 & Stack2
In Stack1 and Stack2 there are a total of 4 courses each to be completed by the learner.
In Stack1, there are two courses which are common and mandatory for all learners. The learner has to choose any 2 courses from the list of courses available in Stack1.
In Stack2, learners can broaden their skill sets and explore areas of interest by choosing any four courses from a diverse list.
The selection of courses is purely based on the learner’s interest, academic related, and future career plan. This selection does not have any bearing on the role specific specialization track at the next level. However, some of these courses can be a precursor to the specialization track the learner selects.
This flexibility allows the learner to tailor their education to their career goals and personal interests by choosing courses of their choice.
7.11 Role specialization Track Confirmation
As the program is designed to address the interest levels of the Learners, the Learner must choose the specialization in the program after completing stack2. Learners can select the specialization even at the time of registration but have a choice to change the specialization after completing Stack2.
This specialization is very critical as the rest of the program will be based on this specialization which is role specific. This is also referred to as Core specialization. Stack3 & Stack4 are role specific specialization courses and vary for each specialization stream. Hence, once the learner has started Stack3 courses, the learner can’t change the specialization.
At the time of selecting the role specific track, the learner has to necessarily meet the role specific eligibility criteria (refer to the Section 7: Admission Eligibility Requirement Table), failing which the learner has to either terminate the program at the end of Stack2 or can option for a different track meeting the eligibility criteria. E.g., An Engineering learner can’t take up the BNF specialization. Similarly, a non-STEM learner can’t opt for Software Engineering specialization.
7.11 Higher Stacks Batch launches and enrolment
The batches are launched for every Course. Before the end of one Course, the batch of the next course has to be announced (to be communicated to the learners in the batch as well as through email). The learners have to enroll their name for the new course batch by confirming their names and paying the applicable Course fees (Instalment). The seat is confirmed in the batch only on payment of the applicable fees.
If the learner does not enrol or confirm their names, then it will be the responsibility of the learner to ensure that the program is completed within the confirmed SOL period.
7.12 Bridge Course
Based on the specialization stream/track selected by the learner at Stack3 stage, and the courses which the learner has completed as part of stack1 and stack2, the learner may be required to take up additional pre-requisite courses as bridge courses before they start the Stack3.
The number of such bridge courses required will be based on the courses already completed in stack1 and stack2.
The maximum number of bridge courses required may be up to 3. Learners should be prepared to do the same. For Bridge courses the learner has to pay and register separately, and they are not part of the main program or program fees.
8.0 Program Fee
8.1 Payment Process
All payments are to be done online through the NIIT Website or LMS (post registration Instalments).
Candidates are advised not to pay by Cash or by transfer of amount through mobile payment apps (such as Google Pay/ UPI etc.) to any third-party person or to any NIIT official’s personal account or personal mobile number. NIIT will not be responsible for any such payments made.

If anyone advises to make payments to non NIIT account or does not receive the tax invoice against the payments made, the Learner should escalate the issue to NIIT by writing at CustomerCareDigital@niit.com with all the details.
All payments will attract an additional applicable GST of 18%.
8.2 Booking Fee
Candidates can confirm their admission in the program and book a seat in the batch by paying the Non-refundable booking fees of INR 1500/- + 18% GST.
The booking is valid up to 45 days from the date of payment. If the registration is not completed within 45 days, the booking expires, and the amount paid will be forfeited.
If the registration happens within 45 days, the booking amount will be adjusted in the total Program fee.
If the Learner is registering into the Program after 45 days of paying the booking fees, the candidate will have to pay the booking fees once again.
Payment of the booking amount is only towards the acceptance of the admission selection and protection against any increase in the Program fees.
Seat in the batch is on first-cum-first-served basis and on completion of the registration process before the closing date of the registration for the batch.
A Learner can start the batch only after payment of the due registration amount.
A Learner can start the Program only after payment of the due registration amount.
The Registration Fees need to be paid before the last date mentioned in the Admission Selection Letter or before the last date of registration for the batch selected, whichever is earlier to complete the registration.
8.3 Payment Modes
The candidate can pay for the program in the following modes:
Lumpsum Payment: The Candidate can pay the complete Program Fee as lumpsum or pay a non-refundable Booking Fee of INR 1500.00 + GST, followed by the payment of the balance fees before the last date of registration as communicated. The Candidate opting for this payment mode will be eligible for a Fee Concession as mentioned in the concession table below.
Installment Payment: If the candidate chooses the installment mode, he/she will need to pay the defined down payment for Registration post which his registration will be raised. The balance fees would have to be paid according to the installment plan of the program.

All payments will attract an additional applicable GST of 18%. The table below is without GST in INR.
The concession is applicable for learners registering for the long-term program and paying the applicable fee in full (Lumpsum payment).
The concession % applicable is dependent on the no. of stacks of the program enrolled for. If the Learner downgrade the program at a later date, the concession will be reversed and adjusted appropriately.
8.5 Instalment based Payment
Each course fee is one Installment. The first installment is to be paid before registering or re-registering for the batch which is equivalent to the Course1 fees. The 2nd instalment will be towards the Course2 fees. The instalment has to be paid in advance before the start of the course as per the payment plan
Instalment due dates are aligned as per the batch schedule. If the pace of the batch is a fast track or superfast track, then the Instalments to be paid also will be more frequent.
8.5.1 Rules of paying Instalments
If the Batch start date is on or before 20th of the month (m), then the 2nd Instalment will be due on 1st of the following month (m+1). E.g. if the batch has started on 15 Jul 2024, the 2nd instalment will be due on 1 Aug 2024 which is m+1 = 6 + 1 = 7th month i.e., July.
If the Batch start date is after 20th of the month (m), the 2nd instalment will be due on 1st of the 2nd month (m+2) E.g. if the batch has started on 22 Jul 2024, the 2nd instalment will be due on 1 September 2024 which is m+2 = 7 + 2 = 9th month i.e., September.
The subsequent instalments (3rd instalment onwards) will be due on 1st of the subsequent months (m+3) onwards.
The Learner must pay the due Instalment on/before the due date (1st of the month)
If the Instalment is not paid by the due date, the Learner is tagged as “Fee Defaulter”, and the payment due will reflect as Outstanding amount.
A defaulter will have to pay the Instalment along with the late payment fee of Rs 1000 + GST up to 7th of the due month.
Learner will be allowed to continue in the Batch till 7th of the month with Defaulter status (payment is overdue).
The due dates will remain 1st and 7th of the month irrespective of any holidays/ Sundays as online payment facility is available on all days of the year, round the clock.
If the Learner fails to make the payment by 7th of the month, the Learner status is declared as “Fee Defaulter Dropout”. The Learner’s access to join the classes in the LMS will be blocked and the learner is not allowed to continue in the batch.

*Duration is calculated as per standard pace, where each course has 15 sprints @ 3 sprints per week it will take 5 weeks per course.
Note:
The actual duration of the program (calendar time) depends on the pace of the program. The pace would vary for different batches/Courses, based on the number sprints covered in each week. E.g., if there is only 1 session per week, the course will take 15 weeks to complete.
If there are 3 sessions per week, the course will be completed within 5 weeks only. The program page of a website would reflect the launch plan for the upcoming batches of Stack1 mandatory courses only.
The batches are launched for each Course separately. Admission is to the Stack1 Mandatory Courses batch only. The learner on completion of each course has to join the next course. The batch schedule may vary for each course.
The total program duration is completely dependent on the learner completing each course and joining the next course without any delay or break.
It is possible that the learner would join for multiple courses simultaneously and complete the program much earlier.
The batch schedule will reflect the expected duration of the batch considering the holidays. The “Estimated Date of Completion” (EDC) of the Batch is indicative and may be impacted by holidays or other interruptions.
11.2 Program Pedagogy
NIIT StackRoute Programs are designed to build all round competencies for the job specific roles. The Program Pedagogy is as follows:
Outcome Driven – Program builds role specific competencies and instils self-confidence.
Practitioner designed – Designed to accelerate skill acquisition and gain experience.
Immersive – Learn in an environment that mirrors work environment and tough problems to solve tight timeline. Learners must solve tough problems, get it reviewed and refactor as in real environment.
Flipped Classroom – Mandates self-learn & practice that are supplemented with mentor connect sessions/review.
Job-readiness – multi-staged approach that gradually prepares Learners to get “Job-ready”.
All-round competency – Program equips Learners on all-round skills – Technical Skills, Functional Skills, and Professional skills.
Highly hands-on – Spending over 60% of time on coding or hands-on activities.
The Program is designed to be modular, comprising of multiple courses. Each course typically has multiple sprints. Sprint is the smallest unit of learning (building block) dealing with one or more critical concepts thus making the entire learning process very easy.
A typical sprint consists of
Contact sessions (referred as Synchronous or Sync session) where:
This is followed by Async or Asynchronous sessions where the Learner needs to block a minimum time per sprint as per the Learner’s convenience towards self-study. During this Async time, Learner must complete and submit the following activities:
